Hi! Guys! we are sorry not to post this for a long time, but we refresh and get new started!
Launched in March 2020, Maison Bo funded about 1.8 million without advertising for a month, called Maison Bo, a French brand pioneering a new genre of parfum bracelets. On the last campaign, we focused on men's item, but we are now preparing for the next project, which will be for women's item (off course men's style as well).
We are currently developing sales channels in Japan and are always looking for company to become our distributors and retailers.
We will be releasing a questionnaire what kind of women's items you want to buy in the near future. If you're interested in that questionnaire , please bookmark the campaign page on Makuake or join on our website. The information will be updated on there.
Many exhibitions were cancelled or postponed due to the effects of Corona virus. Among them, we visited the gift show held in February. we would like to give you an overview of that.
The reason we visited this gift show was to find an outsourcing partner in China. However, due to the influence of Corona virus, many Chinese companies were unable to exhibit or come as they planned, so it was not a very fruitful visit to the exhibition. In addition, a bag manufacturer that we used to work with had to suspend operations due to the impact of Corona virus, and the project that had been carried out to the final sample has now come to a standstill. That's why we went in search of a replacement company for this. Although we managed to meet a few companies, we are still wondering if we will be able to make any progress in the future.
Japanese crowd funding part 2
There is a watch called SANS-13 in a campaign that we did in March 2020. Touting itself as a full-fledged tactical watch, the specs are impeccable and, for all its quality, the price is affordable. Our expectations were very high because of the fact and also it was produced in America. For this reason, we advertised to earn the backers, but we unexpectedly had 14 backers (our target is 50).
In FB advertising, the result was actually good one because the price per click was about 60 yen, but there were an overwhelming number of people who did not reach a purchase afterwards.
The first problem is the discount rate.
Because we set the cost at the very last minute, it was very difficult to achieve the desired effect at the discount rate, and we ended up with a 20% discount at the maximum. It is difficult to set a reasonable price because of the high transportation cost when importing from the United States.
The second point is the structure of the project page itself.
Even though it was aimed at outdoor enthusiasts, it didn't tell the story as I had hoped and only told the appeal of the product (the quality is a way good, so misunderstand we do not need any stories on that).
The third point is the lack of preparation for advertising.
We are supposed to have the plan to start the ad in the middle of the campaign, but there wasn't "something to get any benefit on that ad like more 500 yen discount or something like that". So we prepared that kind of benefit quite late in the process, but that was not very effective.
So, the three major areas of reflection in this campaign have been identified, and this is a good decision to make for next time. Fortunately, we are discussing second campign from this brand, so it will be a place to look forward to see how this reflection can be covered.
